LUNA / CMusic User Guide The Sequence Editor

A Sequence is built with Events.

The most known event is a Note. A note plays a sound on the Target. Another event type is Pitch Bend, which changes the pitch while the note is playing.

The Sequence Editor consists of 2 sub editors: the Note Editor where you can draw and edit the note events, and the Value 2 Editor below the Note Editor, where you can edit note velocities and controller curves.

There is a small horizontal splitter bar between the two that you can drag up and down, so to lay them out as you whish.

Clicking at the left of the Value 2 Editor (see Questions & Answers for why it's called like this) pops up a list with all possible event values that can be edited, so you can choose the one that you want to edit.

When you move the mouse over a note, and you have the arrow or pencil tool selected, the mouse tool has this dynamic behaviour:

  • At the beginning of the note, you get the pencil tool to change the start position
  • In the middle of the note, you get the arrow tool to move the note
  • At the end of the note, you get the pencil tool to change the end of the note
